AC Milan vs. Inter Milan: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 not happy with Dutch team-mate Mark van Bommel's tackles
Netherlands international and Inter Milan’s attacking midfielder, Wesley Sneijder has claimed that he was left dejected over the needless tackles made by AC Milan during their Derby game. Milan played hosts to their rivals Inter on Saturday the 2nd
of April, which the Rossoneri won by a comfortable 3-0 margin.
The 26-year-old was particularly pointing towards his team-mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-van-Bommel-c24148 whom he accused of some rough tackling during the game. The midfielder mentioned that Mark could have avoided those tackles as Milan were already three goals up.
Sneijder said while talking to the reporters, "He hit me pretty hard on my calf in the dying seconds of the game. I told Mark how I felt about that as it was totally uncalled for. Milan were already 3-0 up and the match was practically over. I'm not the
type of player to ask for a booking, but that was a needless challenge."
Sneijder was not only targeted by Van Bommel but he was also attacked by laser pens as the Milan supporters targeted him with laser beams. He seemed concerned at this and hoped that it won’t happen again in the future as it could result in a serious injury.
The midfielder said while talking on the matter, "Someone was aiming a laser at my eyes. It's not just annoying, but it's also dangerous. You can sustain some serious damage. I asked the fourth official to do something about it and the fans stopped doing
it after the speaker interfered."
Sneijder joined Inter Milan in 2009 and since then has netted 14 goals in 70 appearances in all competitions so far. However, the Dutchman could not inspire his side to a win against rivals, Milan.
Inter were beaten on the night by a determined Milan outfit leaving the Nerazzurri with all sort of problems. Milan find themselves leading the Serie A flight with 65 points while Inter have now gone down to the third spot with 60 points and seven games
remaining in the season. The Nerazzurri will host Chievo on Saturday, April 9, in their next League game at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
