Massimiliano Allegri has stated that he expects the next season to be one of the most competitive in Serie A, and believes that the title contention will no longer be a two-horse race with the Old Lady.
The Rossoneri manager won the Scudetto in his first year at the helm of the Milan outfit, but his team was edged out by the unbeaten Juventus in the race to the Italian crown.
Allegri stressed that AC Milan will need to make a new start in the next season, and insisted that the important things will be to not to fall into the same trap as last season.
The Diavolo chief admitted to complacency in their last campaign when they were branded the super favourites to win the league trophy, and insisted that one can never take anything for granted in the game of football.
The Rossoneri tactician stressed upon the need for humbleness in their next campaign, and insisted that the challenge will be to take on the best teams from all over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 with their limited resources.
The former Cagliari coach went on to point out to the hazards of being the front-runners in the league, and insisted that the players tend to lose their edge when they are branded as favourites.

“We have to start scratch,” the former Cagliari man commented. “We want to make up for last season where we were super favourites, but you can take nothing for granted in football. We must have humility and the awareness within our means and try not to repeat

Allegri went on to point out to a number of sides that will be looking to reach out for the Scudetto in their next season.
The Rossoneri chief insisted that it will be a difficult season for them, as Champions Juventus will be joined by Napoli, who do not have a Champions League to deal with, as well as Inter Milan who are looking to bounce back from a dismal season.
