Netherlands international and AC Milan midfielder, Clarence Seedorf has revealed that he expects a contract extension from his current club before the start of the new 2011-12 season. He confirmed the speculations that surround his future but was adamant
upon winning the Scudetto and not thinking about his future yet.
Seedorf’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current 2010-11 season and the Dutchman believes that the Rossoneri would renew his contract. The Dutchman said while speaking to the reporters, "I am hearing a lot of rumours. I am awaiting an offer
from Milan, as there are some concrete offers on the table from Brazil and other clubs. I will firstly think about the Scudetto before my future."
The 35-year-old was talking after his side’s 2-1 away-win over Fiorentina on Sunday, the 10 of April. Seedorf opened the scoring in that game in the 8th minute after receiving a clean pass from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901. The midfielder was very much relieved
at the victory and regarded it as one of the most important wins of the season.
The player went on to add, "We deserved the three points, as the derby victory [last week against Inter] lifted our spirits, and helped us to overcome a side like Fiorentina. Unfortunately, we were unable to close the match out in the opening 15 minutes
of the second half. "We knew the importance of the match, having prepared well. These are the matches that one needs to lift for and trust your team-mates."
He also commented on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s red card revealing that the striker was really upset over the decision. Ibra was sent off in the 86th minute after passing some comment to the assistant referee.
Seedorf joined the Italian outfit in 2002 from city rivals Inter Milan and since then has made 276 League appearances for the club so far. He has 43 goals under his belt and is regarded as 437th best player, playing in Europe’s top Leagues.
