AC Milan’s Clarence Seedorf not offered new contract, Inter Milan deny Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez link
Seedorf confirms he has not been offered a new contract
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275, the 35-year-old AC Milan midfielder, revealed he had not been offered a new contract by the Serie A giants despite having made it clear that he wished to remain at the club. The former Dutch international will be out of contract in the
summer, which means he will become a free agent at the end of the season.
Seedorf confirmed AC Milan had not yet held talks with him regarding a new contract which would extend his stay at the San Siro. He said while speaking to reporters, “My future is uncertain. The club has not me me an offer. It's still early to say whether
I will stay or I will leave. You should ask [AC Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani.”
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 national felt he deserved a contract extension after his dedication and hard work for the club during his nine seasons with Milan. Seedorf, who has made a total of 386 appearances for Milan in all competitions, said, “I have always given
everything I had for the team. I am proud of being the foreigner that has made the most appearances for Milan.”
In those impressive 386 appearances for Milan, Seedorf has managed to score 57 goals. The Dutchman arrived at AC Milan in 2002 from rivals Inter Milan in an exchange deal for Italian defender Francesco Coco. In his first season he went on to win the Coppa
Italia, the first time in 26 years. More success followed as Milan won the UEFA Champions League later that season.
That makes him the first player ever to claim the coveted European trophy with three different clubs, an impressive achievement. His Serie A win with AC Milan in the 2003-2004 made him one of the few players to have won a fourth national league title, having
previously won two titles with Ajax and one with Real Madrid.
AC Milan are currently eight points clear of second place Inter Milan, and with only three fixtures remaining, seem to be well on their way to claiming the Serie A title.
Inter Milan deny Tevez link
There has been countless speculation regarding Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez’s future in the English Premier League and he has recently been linked to a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan. However, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti was quick to
deny any such rumors.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan president confirmed his side were not interested in acquiring the services of the 27-year-old Manchester City striker. Moratti said while speaking to reporters, “I saw that on TV but there is no connection at all with us.”
