The 34-year-old midfielder has an expiring contract at San Siro that runs until the summer of 2012 and has expressed his desire to rejoin the Eredivisie outfit before the start of 2012/13 campaign.
AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel's agent, Mino Raiola, has revealed that his client is willing to rejoin PSV Eindhoven this summer despite having to take a wage cut.
The Dutch International has an ongoing contract at San Siro that runs until the summer of 2012, and it seems unlikely that he will sign an extension to his current contract.
Raiola has revealed that his client is eager to rejoin the Eindhoven giants and has insisted that the 34-year-old is not concerned about the fact that he will have to take a pay cut.
“There is still no agreement. But it would not take long. If Mark wanted to move for the money, he would not go to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281. We know PSV's wage cap. We know what the top players earn so we know what is possible”, Van Bommel’s agent was quoted as saying to De
Telegraaf.
Raiola has also made it clear that his client will only sign a season-long deal with the Boeren and has no intentions of committing more than one season at Philips Stadion.
Van Bommel recently stated that he will not join the Eindhoven giants if Louis van Gaal is appointed as the head coach before the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
Raiola has also insisted that his client has no intentions of working under the leadership of the former Bayern Munich manager.
“PSV technical director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Brands, has effectively confirmed the appointment of Louis van Gaal, albeit not in not in so many words. But he knows that a transfer will be taboo for Mark if Van Gaal is coach”, Raiola concluded.
Van Bommel started his career at Fortuna Sittard in the 1992/93 season and enjoyed a seven-year stint at Trendwork Arena before moving to PSV in the summer of 1999.
The veteran midfielder made 169 appearances and netted 46 goals during his six-season spell at Philips Stadion before moving to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the 2005/06 campaign.
