Massimiliano Allegri has defended his team’s performance this season amidst disparagement, and believes his position at AC Milan is not under threat.
The Rossoneri have faltered in their recent league games, as they drew against Catania and suffered an upset defeat against Fiorentina. The slip from the Diavolo meant an opportunity for the Bianconeri, who won their last two matches
to upturn the four-point deficit to Milan, into a one-point lead for the Old Lady.
Consequently, Allegri is faced with mounting criticism over the team’s disappearing title chances, and many believe that the tactician’s managerial position at San Siro is under threat.

that the Rossoneri have been accumulating wins all around, and it is only now that the club is under a shadow of doubt.
While talking to the club, the former Cagliari manager said:
“I’m not nervous. I have seen some observations saying that Milan’s season is being viewed as unsuccessful, which I don’t think it has been up until this point.”
The Rossoneri manager highlighted the fact that the team has faced a number of injuries during the season. However, he insisted that despite the shortcomings, the team has done considerably well in tournaments such as UEFA Champions
League and the Coppa Italia.

The coach went on to state that the team must now take their eyes off the Scudetto, and focus completely on their upcoming match against Genoa.
