Question:

AC Separation in Shoulder!

I was in a Head On Collision in December! I was wondering if you or any one else you know has had a first degree AC separation? I have on and my Physical Therapist says because they just now found it I will have to have 6 months of physical Therapy! If they would have found it in the first 2 weeks i would have been fine!

My question is do you know anyone with this injury and how did they get through it (me physical therapy) What did you do for pain?

Thank You!

  1. For a bad sprained AC, which is what a Type I AC separation is, I recommend you see this specialist, a Gonstead chiropractor. He is world renowned for extremities, including AC joints. If you're nowhere near him or can't go to him, call his office and he'll refer you to one nearby who he personally trained.

    Dr. Mark Werking

    1524 W. Glen Avenue

    Peoria, IL 61614

    309-692-2121

After he treats you, you can go back to physical therapy. You'll find that they'll significantly cut down on the time required to restore AC function, and you'll respond to PT rehab faster and better.
