AC....... in my apartment?

.didn't work well, so they came to fix it ( well clean it ) and they spray it with some chemical ( witch supposed to clean it) . ever since , every time AC is on I can smell it ! Do U know what they use and do u think that can cause a headaches???

Most times, this an orange based cleaner, and it has no adverse health effects. It will go away soon.

more than likely its a non acid foaming,no rinse coil cleaner,alot of a/c techs use it.it is completely safe to use around people&animals,thats not to say it wont give some people a headache,but if thats what was used it wont hurt you.get a can of lysol,febreeze,or any room deodorizer spray and spray it in the filter,this will help get rid of the smell of the coil cleaner.

It works very good,you might want to change or wash the sponge or filter then spray with a good air spray.

It is a loud smell and is not pleasant at all but it will go away after a couple of days with the condensate water.Good luck.

Not sure whats in it but it's a non acid coil cleaner.

There is a duct disinfectant that is supposed to have a pleasant odor but I think it stinks and it sounds like that is what they sprayed in the ductwork.It will eventually wear off.

Sounds like they may not have used the correct cleaner.

You should not smell it after a month.

Have them check it out again.
