I installed an ac line and drier. i didnt vacumn the system before installing free-on. And the ac works but eventually goes away after a few hours. Should i vacumn the system...and can i do it myself?? Or is there something i'm missing, mind you there are no leaks!! cause i tried the dye and blacklight thing and found nothing

  1. Yes!  You (or someone who has a vacuum pump and knows what he's doing) MUST vacuum out all of the air & coolant gas that you put into the system without doing so before; and then carefully install the amount of proper coolant gas that's  recommended for your particular auto a/c system.  I recommend strongly that you take your auto to a garage for a properly trained and authorized mechanic to do the job  right for you.

  2. Need to have a vacuum done on the system. Get a mechanic to do it.           The vacuum machines cost anywhere from $1,500 to $5,000.
