#16 Miami vs. Clemson
Miami will visit Clemson in what is sure to be a hard fought conference match-up.
The 2-1 Miami Hurricanes will be keen on continuing their winning streak after defeating Pittsburgh on the road last week.
The Tigers suffered their only loss of the season last week to (then #16) Auburn and will be interested in turning it around against this week’s #16 ranked side.
Florida State vs. Virginia
Florida State will visit Virginia in a conference game on Saturday.
Florida State will be interested in continuing their winning streak after suffering their only loss of the season in week two to #10 Oklahoma. The Seminoles should be able to push past Virginia on their way to a rivalry game against Miami in week six.
The Cavaliers have only lost one game this season and it was to (then #16) USC in the first week. Nevertheless, they will face a difficult opponent in a Florida State side, which is fighting to get back into the rankings.
Virginia Tech vs. #23 North Carolina State
North Carolina State will host Virginia Tech over the weekend.
North Carolina State has shocked the college football world by heading into week four with a perfect record, having just defeated Georgia Tech. The Wolfpack will look to take advantage of their strong throwing game, which features veteran quarterback Russell
Wilson.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech will have an opportunity to get their season back on track after improving to .500 against Boston College last week. A win over a ranked side could put the Hokies back on the map.
East Carolina vs. North Carolina
East Carolina comes over from C-USA to face-off against North Carolina.
East Carolina was put in their place in week three, losing to Virginia Tech. However, they will be intent on getting back in the win column in order to hold their spot in first in C-USA East.
The Tar Heels will have their hands full, as they continue to struggle, missing half their line-up due to an ongoing NCAA investigation.
Duke vs. Maryland
Duke visits Maryland for their week five engagement.
Duke continues to struggle this season and is likely to earn their second loss against a conference opponent this weekend, after suffering defeat to Wake Forest in week two.
Maryland’s loss to West Virginia in week three hurt their chances of being rated. Moreover, West Virginia’s recent fall from the rankings is likely to hurt the Terrapins chances at a Top 25 spot even more. However, if they are able to run the table, defeating
both #16 Miami and #23 North Carolina State late they could earn a ranking.
Georgia Tech vs. Wake Forest
Georgia Tech will head to Wake Forest for another week-five conference game.
Georgia Tech has struggled against difficult teams this season, suffering losses to Kansas and North Carolina State.
Wake Forest currently sits at 2-2 after suffering two losses in a row to Florida State and Stanford. The Demon Deacons will be keen to get back on track in an important conference game.
Notre Dame vs. Boston College
Notre Dame will visit Boston College on the weekend.
Notre Dame will be eager for a win after suffering three straight defeats, and should be able to pull out a victory over Boston College.
The Eagles are coming off a shutout loss to Virginia Tech and will be starting an inexperienced freshman quarterback against a desperate Notre Dame side.
