Question:

ACNE HELP! Please help with HARD under the skin bumps?

I used to get a lot of whiteheads (and only whiteheads) but now that I've finally gotten rid of them, I'm starting to get alot of under the skin acne. Most of them are somewhat large reddened bumps that feel HARD to the touch and are under the skin so it's very frustrating because they do not seem to clear easily!! Also, when they go, they leave reddened or darkened spots!

Please, does anyone know how I can help treat this??

  1. Do not, I repeat do not pick at them.

I keep getting them and they're sore.  They never form a head though and picking at it just makes it worse.

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to get rid of them - it can take weeks for them to go away

  2. I know a product that will help with everything. Yes, drink plenty of water and eat fruits. That will make  your skin stronger and healthier. I suggest you try using this kit by Murad. It is a bit expensive but, it will help and you might like it.  here is the link.   www.murad.com

  3. stop eating so much sugar. and also dont touch them or they can scar

  4. Sugar doesn't cause acne, neither does oily food or anything else! What causes acne is a lack of healthy food, not an abundance of bad food (in other words, a bad diet wont cause acne but a good one can cure it).

Touching them wont cause scars, picking at them will.

Your best bet is to drink plenty of water (probably the  best, easiest and cheapest thing you can do you your skin) and wash your face twice a day with a sutable face wash, toner and moisturiser.

  5. You are starting to get cystic acne. I was the same. I never really had a pimple problem until the beginning of this year - acne problems run in my family. I always just used drugstore brand stuff... like clearasil or neutrogena. But I started getting what you have on my cheeks... since my parents don't live in this country at the moment they didn't know, or they would have sent me to a doctor sooner. When mum came back she sent me for an appointment... this was 2 months ago. The doctor gave me two topical treatments, one for morning, one for night. I'm also taking birth control. Since then, all those dark red spots have gone. But they left little, flat, red dots.. you cannot do anything about that - at least they are not inflamed like before. The scars they leave will take quite a while to fade.

You really should see a doctor. They will give you the treatments you need. Normal pimple stuff will not clear them. Good luck.
