ACS certified Chemist?

I am currently pursuing a degree in chemistry and am wondering what route would be best. ACS certified or a non-ACS certified degree. i am planning on either going to med school or going for my MBA, so would ACS certified really matter? also if those plans don't work out, would companies still hire me with a non-ACS certified degree?

  1. At least at my school, the ACS degree is more rigorous. Med schools will probably look at what classes you took, so even if they don't care about the specific certification, it might be a good idea just for the extra courseload.
