I'm going to be a freshman this year and was wondering when I should start studying for the SAT's and ACT's. Also, should I study for the PSAT's. What do kids take their freshman year? What should I use to study and how?

  1. I wouldnt sign up for any prep courses yet. Focus on getting good grades until you are a junior then worry about the SAT and ACT. Freshman and Sophomore year you take the PSAT and that is a practice SAT test that colleges look at when you apply for scholarships. Dont stress about the PSAT its no big deal. Buy a couple books if you dont want to take a prep course for the SAT or ACT and your school should do a good job of explaining the details to you. talk to your college councilor.

  2. Math, English, Science classes can only help you.  Google in SAT or ACT test prep & you'll find thousands of sites to look at.

PSAT is to prep you for the real thing> best you take it too.

    Good luck.
