Ok, I honestly have no idea how I did so bad. I got a 14 on the ACT!!! I am so depressed now. I was going to try to get into UAT out in Arizona and I have a visit planned already and I live in Illinois. I was wondering if there is still hope for me getting into this school. Please someone let me know asap. THANKS!!!

  1. If you graduated have already graduated.then its really too bad. You can only count on your GPA, brag sheet, club involvement , recommendations, and unique qualities about yourself.

But if you' re a incoming senior, then good news. you can still take the ACTs once or twice more in order to get the scores up. Buy some practice books, hire a ACT tutor.

  2. that personal essay and you activities must be outstanding///?

  3. You definitely want to consider retaking the ACT after using a study guide (such as The Real ACT Prep Guide).  You still have time to take it in the fall of this upcoming year if you register soon.  You also have the option of taking the SAT, which I know isn't as big as the ACT in the midwest, but UAT will accept either one.  But even if you can't bring up those scores, remember that test scores are not an end-all--people with imperfect test scores can still get into the most prestigious of schools, while people with perfect 36's can still get rejected.  It ultimately comes down to more important things, especially with a school like UAT.  It comes down to a fit with the school, the same kind of culture and true belief in what you're doing.
