I'm a junior next year and I really want to get a better ACT. I took it last December and got a 23. I took it again a couple months ago and got a 22. Any tips for improving my over all score?

  1. I would recommend taking practice tests, they are very important for improving your score. Also you should go over the material in each section to make sure you know it. Most of the questions are recycled and are the same. Good Luck

  2. If you go to your local library, there are books called ACT Prep, ACT Practice Tests, etc. Check one of these out and time yourself when taking a practice exam. Having a lot of practice allows you to flow through the questions much more simply and there is no point in going out and buying one of these books since it sounds like you won't be using it much longer.

Like it is preached, go to bed early, get sleep, eat a good breakfast. Just be comfortable. But the practice tests honestly help because I was able to go through the exam quicker with having so much practice. They give so many questions that are similar as well, so some might look very familiar when take the actual ACT. I even went to a prep class and that was the only usefull thing they told us. Practice the old ACT test!
