  1. 1) In the english section, if "omit the underline portion" is an option...over 80% of the time, it is the correct answer.

    2) Answer all the questions, if you must guess, stick with the same answer throughout the entire test. It increases your chances of getting it right.

    3) In the reading, read the passages! Write some quick notes next to them or underline, that way when you have to answer questions, go back and look at your notes.

    4) The english section has a lot of questions about style. The ACT is all about short, concise and to the point. When a question asks about how this sentence should be re-written, go for the shortest one!

    5) Math questions progress from easiest to hardest. Try to answer the easier ones first, leaving more time for the harder ones.

Good luck. Bring extra batteries. Get some sleep and relax. It is important but it is NOT everything!

  2. answer all questions. dont skip any. that test is fuuuuckin hard

  3. all i can say is try to take an energy drink because the science part is last and its the hardest.  i think they want you to fail that part thats why they put it last.  to be honest, i thought it was really easy, but i ended up doing horrible.  my biggest problem was really staying awake!! if you get anymore tips.... please let me know.... im taking it soon again!!
