Question:

ACT test score?

so I took the ACT recently and received a 20 on it. is that an ok-ish "grade" i mean i didnt really study and/or try. But the college where im from only needs an 18 to get into. but someday i might want to go to a better college. will i maybe need to re-take it. is 20 bad? or average? or what?

  1. it is an ok score if your goal is to get into a school.  If you want to get into a really good school, you should try to bring it up.  A higher score may also make more scholarship money available.  If you think you can do a lot better on, it isn't a bad idea.


  2. wtf is the last person talking about, UCLA may be a state school, but its just as competitive as the ivy's. Why do you think UCLA is called "public Ivy"

  3. Your score is relavant to which school your applying to. This will determine whether your scores are "good or bad." If your goal is being accepted to any Ivyleague, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Stanford, or anything of the sort, then your scores are greatly lacking. However, if your planning to apply to UCLA or some other state school lower then your scores are good.
