I bought 2 pit bull puppies about a month ago. The litter was not registered but the parents are. Is there any way I can get the pups registered myself? The mom is ADBA and the dad is I believe UKC.

  1. Both parents have to be registered with the same registry to be regsitered, so if both parents were UKC, you could contact UKC and try to register your dog, or if they were both ADBA, you could register with ADBA.  You can't take the other registries papers and apply it to a different registry.

There's not much point in papers unless you're going to show, or breed anyways, all 4 of the pitbulls I have aren't registered, and they're no less worthy to me.

  2. I know ADBA recognizes UKC registrations.  I believe UKC recognizes ADBA.  Contact the registries and ask.  You will need to go through several steps. 1st get the dad registered with ADBA.  2nd,  register the litter.  3rd,  register your puppies with ADBA.  To get UKC registrations follow the same steps with the other parent.  Don't waste your time and money with any other registries.

  3. only through continental kennel club

otherwise the parents have to be registered with the same registry and the pups would have had to have a litter registration which you would have gotten from the breeder
