ADDICTIVE PERSONALITIES FOOD OR ALCOHOL?

HOW DO I GET OFF THE ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY ROUNDABOUT? I either rely on food, drugs or alcohol to survive!?

I have an addictive personality and have rotated over 30 years between food, drugs & alcohol. I hate being fat so am now on the alcohol as then i am skinny. However not healthy! Single mum with teenager I want to set a good example (she is high maintainence) and don't want her to end up like me. Drugs are out of the question (car'nt afford them and mess with office work. How do I get off the food or alcohol roundabout??? Im sick of going to work hungover and spending my whole weekend drinking and sleeping. I want a real life like other people. My sisters and friends seem to cope without drinking everynight. I can go one night or two at the most. HELP!!!!

  1. Here are some ideas...

    Join Weight Watchers (helped me with similiar problem)

    Join AA

    Find a physical hobby to replace replace drinking and eating, such ask hiking, exercising, crafting, etc.

    Distract yourself basically.

    Small steps one day at a time.

    Try to go one day with drinking, then two, and so on


  2. excercise and eat right do things taht will help you feel better about yourself

  3. AA, medical care.

  4. check into free groups in your area..if you can't afford drugs (and a lot of times drugs are not the answer anyways) counseling will be very helpful and free groups which are all over the place tend to be very helpful..you need to retrain your thoughts through the therapy
