http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ADO-Den-Haag-c38221’s John van den Brom on FC Utrecht radar – Dutch Eredivisie news
FC Utrecht are looking for a new manager after parting company with their manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Du-c11689 Chatinier. Reports suggest that the outfit from Utrecht are reportedly taking keen interest in ADO Den Haag tactician, John van den Brom.
The 44-year-old tactician took ADO’s managerial hot seat at the start of 2010/11 season and did well to guide his side to a seventh place finish in the league table, winning a UEFA Europa League play-offs berth in the process. After finishing 15th in
the league last term, expectations were not high in The Hague, however, Brom’s impressive tactical http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Skills-c40539 ensured a top-half finish for ADO.
Brom said, “At sprint, I would stand on a list, but I haven’t had contact with anyone. I’m completely concentrating on the play-offs with ADO and hoping that we play European football next season.”
Earlier reports suggested that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hungary-c2920 national football team manager, Erwin Koeman, would be replacing Chatinier at Stadion Woudestein. The Utreg management also held a meeting with Koeman last week. Foeke Booy, the Utreg technical director,
revealed that the meeting was just an initial discussion and nothing has been decided yet.
“It was a preliminary discussion, in which we have not talked about things like contracts and salary. It was mostly about football and I thought it was a pleasant conversation. I'm going to call an internal feedback and then we reflect on next steps.” Booy
revealed.
If rumours are to be believed, Steve McClaren is also a strong candidate to take the managerial post at Stadion Woudestein and lead the outfit from Utrecht in the next season. Furthermore, McClaren also hinted about returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881
sacked him earlier this year. The former England manager had a successful spell in Netherlands previously, when he guided FC Twente Enschede to their first ever Eredivisie title in the 2009/10 season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 manager would be an ideal coach for the Utreg, as he has already coached in Netherlands before
and will bring tons of experience with him.
