ADT Security System Programming?

Question

My ADT Security System won't let me arm because it says "panel is busy programming"... when I go to master controls, it asks me to enter a "field".. how do I get it back to normal?

If you have a clear button, press it. If you don't have a "clear" button on your keypad, press the # sign twice. If its not back to normal something is wrong. I am a Monitoring Operator and I've never heard of a panel do this, in which case if it stays like that you should contact either A. Your Monitoring company or B. the company that installed the system (which I assume is ADT). :)
