The race will kick-off at the Santa Rosa on May 13th as announced by the race organisers, AEG Sports.
Cyclists will cover an approximate distance of 750 miles across some of the most beautiful highways across the city.
Horner is looking ahead to claim his second consecutive victory at the race and has cited that Tour of California is amongst his favourite races of the season.
“I'm looking forward to coming back to defend my title - it promises to be a fantastic eight days in California!” he mentioned.

While the four UCI Continental teams riding the event include Team Optum Presented By Kelly, Benefit Strategies, Bissell Pro Cycling, Team Exergy and Bontrager Livestrong Team.
