Ajax Amsterdam, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Utrecht-c39237 and PSV Eindhoven have expressed their sympathies to FC Twente Enschede on the tragic incident that happened at De Grolsch Veste. At around noon on Thursday, July 7, a part of the roof collapsed during renovation, leaving one dead
and sixteen injured.
The Utreg, PSV and Ajax have all been left shocked at the catastrophe and believe that the accident was an unfortunate one.

Jan Willem van Dop, the Utreg chairman, was also shocked by the tragedy.
“Our sympathies are to the families of the dead and the wounded. We wish everyone involved and of course the club much strength”. He said.

Builders were working on stadium expansion, increasing the capacity to 32,000, when the roof of one stand collapsed. Eyewitnesses have confirmed that the collapse happened as a result of two supporting beams buckling under pressure. Following the tragic
incident, rescue parties rushed to De Grolsch Veste to rescue the people trapped under the debris.
In the wake of disaster, the Tukkers have cancelled their friendly match against New Zealand that was scheduled for Saturday, July 9. Reports confirm that the entire team is on their way back to Enschede in the aftermath of the catastrophe.
According to recent reports from Enschede, condition of the severely injured remains unchanged. A closed meeting has been called at 14:00 CEST in Enschede for people involved in the accident.
