In the third round of KNVB beker Cup, Ajax Amsterdam cruised to a hard fought 4-2 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roda-JC-c40375 Kerkrade at Parkstad Limburg Stadion on Wednesday, October 26.
Frank de Boer, the Amsterdammers head coach, expressed his happiness following his side’s impressive performance away from home.
The Dutch mentor revealed that his troops fought hard and deserved to emerge victorious by the end of 90 minutes.
“I think we deserved to win the match. In the first-half, we played similar to the home side, but after the break we played really well. Everything was perfect. we exploited the opportunities a lot better. This will certainly boost our confidence”, De Boer
was quoted as saying to the media.

In the 73rd minute, Boerrigter scored his second of the night to restore his side’s one-goal lead, while Vertonghen’s strike sealed the game 4-2 in favour of Ajax in closing stages of the match.
De Boer opted to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074 and Gregory van der Weil out of the Dutch Cup action in Kerkrade, in order to keep their legs fresh for the upcoming league encounter and the mid-week UEFA Champions League clash.
“I wanted to give them rest”, the Dutch said on his decision.
The Amsterdammers will lock horns against Roda JC in the upcoming league encounter at Parkstad Limburg Stadion on Saturday, October 29, while they will host Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stage fixture on Wednesday, November 2.
