Ajax Amsterdam’s Christian Eriksen dreams of playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and admits that a move to La Liga would be ideal for him in the future. The Danish sensation had earlier stated his dream to represent Spanish giants, Barcelona FC, at some point in his career.
The 19-year-old was one of the hottest prospects in the recently concluded summer transfer market. A host of elite European clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal FC, Schalke 04, Fulham FC and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 were interested in taking his signature
following his exceptional performances in the 2010/11 season.
However, the young midfielder denied to move abroad at this point of his career, deciding instead to prolong his stay at Amsterdam Arena to further develop his skills.
The Amsterdammers starlet revealed that his current priority is to play maximum minutes on the field and further enhance his skills, which could be achieved perfectly while playing at Amsterdam Arena.
“My priority is to play football. I will play at the highest level with Ajax, in the Champions League. I am in no hurry to move away and I won’t leave Ajax until I’m ready to go. It may take two or three years before I move to Spain”, Eriksen said while
talking to the journalists.
Reports suggest that the promising playmaker snubbed a move to Manchester City in favour of staying in Amsterdam on the advice of compatriot Michael Laudrup. The youngster revealed that Laudrup’s words made him proud.
“I am proud that a big star like Michael commented about me, about my career”, the Danish ace added.
The youngster then went on to reveal that his style of play would suit a switch to La Liga in the future.
“With my style of play, no doubt, Spain would be idea for me”, Eriksen concluded.
The Danish International has played 46 matches for the Amsterdam giants so far and has scored seven goals until now.
