AFC Ajax’s Frank de Boer inspired by Barcelona FC’s Josep Guardiola – Dutch Eredivisie news
Frank de Boer, the Ajax Amsterdam manager, has revealed that he is partly inspired by his former teammate Josep Guardiola, who now leads the La Liga giants, Barcelona FC. Boer took over the Amsterdammers’ managerial position after the departure of Martin
Jol in December 2010 and has done well leading his in the remainder of the season.
De Joden are currently competing on two fronts, KNVB beker Cup and Eredivisie, and much of the credit lies with the 40-year-old tactician, who has guided his side well after a poor slump at the start of the season. Boer revealed that his inspirations partly
come from Guardiola.

Guardiola started his managerial career by training the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 in the 2007/08 season. His superb performances tempted the team president, Joan Laporta, to replace Frank Rijkaard with Pep and Guardiola duly took charge of the Catalans giants
at the start of the 2008/09 season. The Spanish tactician guided his side to six trophies in his debut season at Camp Nou, a tremendous achievement that sky-rocketed his reputation in the managerial world.
De Boer has now praised the Catalan manager for his bold tactical choices and versatile decision making.
“Take his concept of play. If you are pursuing offensive play, there must be much movement in the team. It does not help simply to keep the field wide. Guardiola dares to make difficult choices, such as he decided to sell Samuel Eto'o and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029.
When he was 24, 25 he already had the tactician’s eyes. On the field, he was a tactical mind, a natural leader.” He added.
Boer has an excellent to win a domestic double this season, which could make history at the Amsterdam Arena. Should Boer enjoy more financial freedom while building his squad for the future, he would certainly guide Ajax to major silverware in the coming
years.
