AFC Ajax’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lorenzo-Ebecilio-c22428 reveals playing under Frank de Boer is a relief – Dutch Eredivisie news
Ajax Amsterdam’s winger, Lorenzo Ebecilio, was extremely delighted after lifting his first silverware with the Amsterdammers in his debut season, when Ajax were crowned Eredivisie champions on the final day of the season. The player lauded the appointment
of Frank de Boer as the Ajax manager following Martin Jol’s departure in December 2010. He believes Boer is different than Jol and a much better manager.
Ebecilio started his professional football career in 2010/11 season. The 19-year-old winger had to wait for his first appearance and it was De Boer who handed Edecmade his first appearance for Ajax against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitesse-c40905 Arnhem just after the appointment of Boer.
Since then, the young winger has played 16 games and found the back of the net on three occasions. The Dutch U-21 International also managed to score in the KNVB beker Cup final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede, but his side eventually lost the encounter 3-2 by
the end of the match.
Ebecilio said, “Playing under De Boer is really a relief. He is very focused and is constantly working to bring his vision. He also tries to make each player better and appoint both good and bad points. That is a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 coach.”
The 19-year-old winger is being touted as one of the brightest prospects in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753. Ebecilio sees many differences between Jol and Boer.
“I sometimes feel that Jol gambled on the fads of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mounir-El-Hamdaoui-c26905 and Luis Suarez. Fortunately, we now have a new direction under Boer through which we have succeeded and that works.” He said.
The Amsterdammers managed to lift their 30th Eredivisie title in the club’s history. When Jol left the managerial hot seat in December 2010 and Boer took over, nobody in Amsterdam expected things would turn around so nicely for Ajax. Boer has
done exceptionally well to guide his side towards Dutch glory, and the 19-year-old winger is full of praise for his new manager.
Ebecilio’s current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2014 and it seems like the young winger would be happily pursuing his career at Amsterdam Arena under the leadership of Boer.
