AFC Ajax’s Mounir El Hamdaoui on Tottenham Hotspur radar – Dutch Eredivisie news
Reports suggest that English Premier League outfit, Tottenham Hotspur, have show keen interest in taking Ajax Amsterdam’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mounir-El-Hamdaoui-c26905 to White Hart Lane in the summer transfer window. The Moroccan International has an ongoing contract with the Amsterdammers
until the summer of 2014, but the striker has shown his desire to leave Amsterdam Arena in the upcoming summer transfer window and Ajax have also agreed to his desire to leave.
Spurs are in the market to add reinforcements to their front-line as they lacked firepower in the recently concluded season. The English side have reportedly set their sights on the 26-year-old striker and the Spurs management see him as a perfect addition
to their squad.
Furthermore, the lilywhites’ interest in the Moroccan International is due to the fact that he was also under contract with Spurs in 2005/06 season, but never managed to play a game at White Hart Lane and was loaned to Derby Country where he played nine
matches and scored three goals.
Turkish Super Liga outfit, Trabzonzpor, earlier tabled a bid of 4.5 million Euros to acquire the services of the 26-year-old. The Amsterdammers’ management was reportedly attracted by the offer and were looking to cash-in on the striker, but Hamdaoui was
in no mood to join the Turkish outfit and the deal collapsed.
If rumours are to be believed, Fulham, Liverpool, Sevilla and Parma are also being linked to the player’s signature. Reports suggest that an offer in the region of 5 million Euros would be enough to lure the striker away from Amsterdam Arena.
The Amsterdammers are looking to find a replacement to fill in the shoes for their departing striker and they have set their sights on AZ Alkmaar’s Kolbeinn Sigthorsson. Reports confirm that the Icelandic International has agreed on personal terms with the
Amsterdam giants and is looking good to pen down a contract that will keep him at Amsterdam Arena until the summer of 2015.
However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 management is still negotiating with Ajax on the transfer fee as the Alkmaar outfit have so far refused to come down from the 8 million Euros asking price.
