AFC East leaders New England Patriots face NFC East’s Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 – NFL Preview
The American Football Conference East leader-board New England Patriots are aiming at crushing all the barriers that intend to hinder their progress towards the playoffs. They have so far held an impressive success ratio, and will
carry the same intention as they travel to battle Philadelphia Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field for week 12 game of the National Football League current season on Sunday.
Patriots have won seven games out 10 this season and carrying a two-game winning streak. They defeated Kansas City Chiefs comprehensively in the week 11 game, but the players think that there is more to come.
Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady thinks that the team is doing very well and responding to the challenges perfectly. He pointed out that this is a crucial phase of the season and said that no team would want to lose at this stage.
He further said that the players will try their best to emerge victorious on Sunday.
"There're a lot of people on our team and our offense that have really taken the challenge that our coaches have given us and are going to go out there and try to play our best. This is the time of year when it's most important.
There aren't a lot of games left,” Brady said.
Patriots will be hosted by Eagles that beat their then division leaders New York Giants to get fourth victory of the season. The success boosted their morale and they are ready for another challenge.
Backup quarterback Vince Young, who replaced injured, Michael Vick, efficiently lead the team to the victory last Sunday. He made three interceptions, recorded two passing touchdowns and completed 23 passes of 36 attempts for 258
yards.
Eagles’ coach Andy Reid and other players are comfortable to have Young in the team and are satisfied with how he is performing. Eagles’ centre Jason Kelce has appreciated Vince’s performance against Giants and said that his confidence
in the player has been increased after that game-play.
"I don't want to say that I was ever not confident that Vince could do it, but I'm definitely more confident now, having been through the (Giants) game,” Kelce commented about Young.
Meanwhile, Patriots’ coach Bill Belichick has remained cautious during the preparation for the game and has said that his team is ready for both Vick and Young.
