AFL on Setanta Sports UK?

Question

Last year Setanta Sports broadcast several games of Aussie Rules every week in the UK, at least 2 of these were live matches.

There is no mention of it on their website at the moment with the preseason only a month away, but they have supposed to have signed a 5 year deal.

Can aynone tell me if the AFL is still on this year and how good the coverage will be?

I'm hoping that they haven't let us down and sold their souls to the devil by replacing Aussie Rules with football... if they have I'll be cancelling my subscription as it was only the AFL I got it for!

Good luck. Here in America, we are supposed to have Setanta North America to watch the footy. So far, I haven't found any of the direct TV satellite retailers or at the local cable office that have ever heard of the channel or know where to get it.

If you have it, good on ya. Here in America, we can't see footy on television anymore, not since the 2005 Grand Final.

I wouldn't worry too much.  If I remember rightly they didn't start shouting about it until just before the season starts.  In my eyes the cost of £10 per month (and no minimum contract represents cracking bargain for money).  If you get it on sky and you have sky plus then its even better.  Record the games early in the morning then watch them in your own time....I just hope Richmond do better this year....

Oh sweet, didn't even know the AFL was on Setanta.

Moved to Manchester 4 months ago, but I guess I'll just have to find a late closing pub to watch it in, don't have Sky/cable/etc

Global domination is good, one day Aussie rules might achieve that, once everybody realises how good a game it is.

yeah...season propper wont start till late march or early april so no need to worry...check closer to that time
