AGAT deficiency (creatine deficiency)..need info please!!?

Question

My friend's one year old son was just diagnosed with AGAT dificiency. Does anyone have any knowledge of this other than it is a creatine deficiency?

The doctor is going to start him on creatine treatments ASAP. Does anyone know if the treatments can reverse damage or improve the delays he is currently experiencing?

What is the future outlook for this? Are there any known treatments that are better than others?

Is there any thing in particular that he should avoid? Anything in particular that he should make sure to have? (like any specific vitamins... how about calcium?)

I know this is a new disease... so any insight will be greatly appreciated. if you don't know exact details.. links to any medical sites or journals that you trust or find very worthy of your time would be greatly appreciated.
