AGHHH!!! this is driving me crazy!!?

Question

Well, me and my partner have been TTC for 8months. this month i got my dates muddled and tested last week (way too early) but i got a positive. i put it down to a false negative. AF is due today and so far touch wood no signs. i have nausea, cramping and sore b***s for about a week. i have been testing for a few days and getting V FAINT positives, but today i got a darker line. i did another (more expensive) test to double check the positive from this morning and it was negative. can some of the cheaper ones be more sensitive than the more expensive, i am going to retest in the morning and if i get another BFP i will start believing it! What do you think people?? im confused.

Your def pregnant..no matter how faint a line is on a positive it means positive. U cannot get a false positive, you can only get a false negative so the more expensive one that came up megative is just wrong. I did 8 pregnancy tests before a got a positive..these tests arnt as accurate as they make out but like i said u cannot get a false positive..if theres a line your having a baby :) Congrats hun and good luck xx

You are pregnant. YAY!  To ease your mind though, try this: hold your pee for several hours (four or more or overnight  - the longer the better) so that more of the hormone will have time to build up in the pee you are testing.  That should be sufficient even for the one test that didn't detect it.

You really cannot get a false positive reading with these tests because the hormone it tests for is either there or it isn't.  It might not show positive because there's only a small amount of the hormone in the beginning of pregnancy and it might miss it but it WON'T show positive if there is no hormone at all.  It only shows positive if it detects the hormone and since several tests HAVE detected it, you are definitely knocked up. ;-)

I would say go to a doctor and have them give you a test so you will be certain. But sounds to me that you're pregnant! I'm seven months pregnant now. When I first suspected I was pregnant, I went and bought two cheap tests. One came out funny; I didnt know what it meant. The other came out positive. So I went and bought a more expensive one that came out negative. So I just thought the more expensive test was the most accurate, and I didnt't think I was pregnant. A couple of months later, I found out that I was 4 months pregnant! So the price doesn't determine the accuracy. Anyway, good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

i was told faint line is positive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... but just go to your doctor to confirm they will soon tell you
