Question:

AGW skeptics, do you wish the AGW proponents had any real arguments at all?

Besides calling skeptics "deniers," rewriting the temperature history (both in terms of centuries and in terms of the last 30 years, attempting to eliminate "outlier" years that don't fall in line with the trend they're trying to support), making baseless predictions about polar bears and making temperature predictions that turn out to be false?

And doesn't their argument about no increase in solar output in the last 20 years dovetail completely with the fact that it hasn't warmed in 10 years?

  1. "Besides calling skeptics "deniers,"" as opposed to calling those who think it is happening "believers"

"making baseless predictions about polar bears"

The premise here is usually their numbers have gone way up since the 70's, proof they are not in trouble. Again true, sort of because the information that is left out is they were commercially hunted till the 70's when that was banned/significantly reduced then their number started to rise

"And doesn't their argument about no increase in solar output in the last 20 years dovetail completely with the fact that it hasn't warmed in 10 years?"

Yes randall this is true, well almost it's 30 years not 20 and if you ignore the temp rise through the 80 & 90s and what deniers (sorry! the name fits) are calling global cooling since 98' when the temp hasn't dropped to the level of the 90's at all, how is that cooling.

  2. dont' just stop at 30 years ago look back thousands of years ago and you'll see allot of trends where co2 lags behind tempreture not for 1 or 2 years but for many centuries proving their rediculous theory wrong!

  3. In an economic expansion, the dow does not increase every single day.

If the earth is warming, the temperature does not need to increase every year.

Amazing how so many "scientists" do not understand data from noisy systems.

  4. I wish they spent more time working or doing something constructive it seems they have to much time on their hands.

  5. I think if they were scientific, they wouldn't be so sure of their ideas.  Faith just leads researchers to dismiss anything that disagrees with their preconceptions and overrate anthing which appears to support them.

As most believers seem to be under 30, they are seeing alarmism for the first time in their adult lives and they don't appreciate that eventually people are just going to move on.  The next scare campaign will most likely be about something completely different.
