AH whats wrong with my parents???

okay so don't moms and dads want there kid to leave home to go to collage ?? my mom and dad want me to go to the freekin community collage!!!! less then 2 Min's away!!! I CAN WALK THERE IN 2 MINS AND DRIVE THERE IN LIKE 2 SEC'S!!! wtf me and my friends mom and my mom where talking about it today and my mom was like oh ''twisted'' is just going to the collage in town ..she does not NEED to go anywhere!! *hits head off laptop X9*

so this is my question .....how can i brake it to her that i'm not going there and going an hour to an hour and a half away...and how can i make sure get that far away and!!! whats wrong with her!!!

tell her that the college of your choice offers more programs in the area that you want to study and that a lot of the classes at the community college will not transfer over and you would have to retake some of the classes. Also let her know that at community college you can get an associates degree but not a bachlor of science degree.

Did you ever think of the financial aspect? My parents agreement for me staying home through college (and for my siblings, but they decided not to go) was that we live at home so that I'm not having to go to school full-time and work full-time to make rent and pay for things. Also, it keeps them from the added expense of dorms if I didn't live on my own. Community college is MUCH cheaper than a university and classes usually transfer. So spending two years at a community college is very logical from a financial view point, then transfer to a 4-year after that.

Sounds like you just want to get out on your own to get away from them. If they're paying for it, you can't really argue it. It's not cheap by any means.

I'd love it if my community college was a 2 minute walk. I have to drive 30 minutes to get there in a small town outside the city. In the winter it makes it very difficult with all the ice on the roads. Be grateful for what you've got girl!

just tell her that you could get a better education and this will make you more mature because you'll be on your own as an adult.

hey be nice to your mom your still her little girl in her mind she just wants to stay close to you she loves you that much to care bout you like that you should thank her for it and then just mom i know you that you love me but i don't want to go to the community collage in town just don't be to fast and show her that you love her while you do it.
