i know its easy to pick but idk what to do. for a warm up i decided to do either beginner rider or novice eq.

B.R. Eq has these classes

walk

w/t

w/t/c

xrails 18 inch trotting not penalized

Novice:

w/t

w/t/c

O/F 2ft

O/F 2ft

i want to one of those divisions but idk which one. this is for a warm up since i am not schoolnig in the ring (i dont want to pay for schooling, so im doingg beginner classes instead) im doing hunter, and low hunter, and pleasure after one of these divisions. my reasoning for the beginner rider is because my horse wont canter a course without warm up (he fast trots) but i kinda dont like paying for a walk class?

  1. well..if its just a warm up why not do the easier classes...your horse wont use as much energy & be as tired for the evetns you actually care about....also beginners classes are typically cheaper than other divisions (at least what ive seen...)

Either way, good luck at the show!!

  2. It's just a warm-up, so who cares if you get penalized for trotting? You either (A) do the beginners and pay for a walk class but not get penalized for trotting, or (B) do the novice and get to go around the course twice. Trot the first if you must, and have a nice cantering 2nd warm-up course. I would do the novice if it were me.
