  1. CHKDSK is check disk, if it is asking you to run it, RUN IT. It means there is some kinda of error on the hard drive and CHKDSK will find and fix (if it can) that error

  2. if you download music from a program like limewire, it mayu have corrupted your files.

    but I'm not sure.

you may want to call the company or take it to a local pc store(such as pc warehouse)

  3. Hmmm... that is a tough one. I have never heard of something like that. Hopefully your computer is a PC and not a Mac (I don't know anything about Macs). What I can tell you is that the F drive is typically a flash drive in a usb port (I would suggest removing everything from your usb ports except your mouse and keyboard and rebooting your computer). If that doesn't work, I strongly recommend a PC restore which will restore your computer settings to an earlier date. Don't worry about your documents- they won't be affected by the restore.

    Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore

Make sure "Restore my computer to an earlier date" is selected and click Next. Once the calendar appears, pick a date that you know your computer was functioning properly (or just the earliest it will go) and click Next. Click Next again and hopefully once your computer reboots, the problem will be resolved. Hope it helps!

  4. Hii....

You need to run that CHKDSK utility... Your HDD is having some dirty files in it....

    Do the following:

start--> Run command --> type cmd

    then type CHKDSK/F.

then you need to type 'Y' coz command prompt confirms whether to wanna perform this operation or not during the next boot up...

After confirming, just come outta command prompt and restart your Lappy...

Now a blue window appears in the screen scans your HDD... Dont skip the scanning process... it might take some minutes...

Problem will be solved once the scanning is over...
