K, i had a grl named Amber come to my house and do my hair. She has finished beauty school, and worked at a hair salon. She does a lot of the grl's hair at my school, and it turns out really nice. I was blond, but i wanted to be blonder, so my mom did it. It turned out yellow, so i called amber to have her come fix it. Keep in mind this is months after i dyed it 'yellow' (like 2)

She came and dyed it a really dark brown on the fourth of July. I loved it!!

On the 4th of August, it was a very light brown. I didnt love this so much..

On August 18th, she came and dyed it again, the same color, and it is already really faded!! What is wrong?? And am i over paying her?? She goes to Sally Beauty supply and get permanent dye. I pay her $40+a tip.

  1. YES IT'S BARELY A WEEK & 1/2 LATER N IT'S FADED MAYBE SHE'S NOT LEAVING IT IN LONG ENOUGH OR EVENLY DISTRIBUTING THE DYE ONTO UR HAIR. I THINK MOMS COULDA DONE BETTER...lol

  2. I know how you feel. I had dyed blonde hair, dyed in brown and THREE days later my hair was a light blonge again.

This is not her fault or anything, what could be happening is the dye she is using, or depending on how yellow or blonde your hair was will depend on how many times you have to dye your hair. It took me dyeing my hair brown 3 times before the color finally stuck.

Another thing that could be happening is she could be buying the wrong developer. If you're really concerned, you yourself go to sallys and ask them what to do so your hair does not keep fading after it gets dyed. They're not professionals but they'll know how to explain it better then I would right now over the internet.

    Good Luck dear!

  3. even permanent hair dye fades. hot water when you take a shower fades it the most. you should also use color safe shampoo.

  4. your hair will fade drastically the first couple times you wash it (or at least it seems drastic for me lol) but after that it should only fade a little bit over time until you dye it again.  Make sure your using a color safe shampoo and conditioner
