AHHH my eyes is swollen D: hellllppppppp?

Question

i was laying in bed and rubbing my eye, cause it was itchy. and then it felt swollen so i looked in the mirror. and my bottom eyelid is swollen. in the corner of my eye.

is it just from rubbing it, or is it an infection??

It could just be irritation. Or pink eye or a stye.

Do you wear eye make-up? I tend to get the same problem you describe when it's getting close to bed. I get drowsy, and rub my eye, and smudge all of my make-up into my eye and it immediately causes itching, swelling, redness, etc. If this sounds like your prob, just remember to take off your eye makeup with the most gentle remover you can find. Also for now, try and find some basic eye drops and flush your eyes out with them as much as you can to get the irritating makeup particles out. Good luck!

It's possible you have a stye. It's like a zit in your eye, possibly from sleeping in make-up or just because you have some vitamin imbalance. I had an outbreak of styes recently- like 5 in a row. I started just taking daily vitamins and it helped significantly. Styes cause no real damage. Unless you get really annoyed and poke your eye out. But on a good note, I got to wear an eye patch! It significantly cheered me up.
