  1. Go to MYCOMPUTER

    Click UNINSTALL/CHANGE PROGRAM

    Find CursorMania

    I had that, too. It sucks that everything you try to use has so much spyware.

  2. My answer has 3 parts in itself:

    1. If you want to manually remove a VIRUS, then follow steps 2 and 3. If you want to manually remove an AV product (your question is quite ambiguous in listing "AV XP 2008" - are you talking about a specific AV product?) and all its remnants, then I suggest you download the FREE CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com) and use this tool to uninstall the s/w and clear the registry.

    2. First, you need to identify the proper name and variant version of the threat. To do this you can use an array of FREE online virus scanners. Check out www.ghacks.net/2008/07/11/overview-of-on... for a list. Most of these will also get rid of the said threat.

    3. If you want to find MANUAL removal instructions, take note of the malware name and do a search on various Virus Encyclopaedias out there (a few are www.trendmicro.com/Vinfo/, http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/ or http://www.symantec.com/business/securit... These encyclopaedias will give you all the required threat information as well as solution details and removal instructions.

    In conclusion, if you still don't come right the best thing to do is run Trend Micro's FREE 'HijackThis' tool (www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/... and get the logs it generates to an expert to analyse them.

    Happy Hunting!

  3. uh.. everyone has threats!... Most probly arent even harmful.. So uh.. I just ignore it!! :)

  4. go to google and type in xpantivirus malwarebytes and look for bleeping computer...click on it,then download their program and once you have it on your desktop..click on it, and run a quick scan...it may go for about 5 hours,so go off and do something untill then. when its done click on show results then delete them all...the computer may restart after this but then you will be virus free

  5. Start Menu -->

    Control Pannel -->

    Add/Remove Programs -->

    Cursor Mania

  6. "Threats" are not necessarily viruses. They are often completely necessary programs that slow your computer down.

  7. Duck and Hide .. you betta runnn yooo, get AVG free edition virus protector man

  8. First of all. Do you have virus protection? If you just got your pc then it probably came with crummy Mcaf or Norton. You need to make sure you have a better virus scan. Check out NOD 32 ESET. You can google it. You can also get Spybot and run it. It will remove it. You do not need to run your pc on the internet without virus protection. Good virus protection. Since Norton and Mcaf are so large and come preinstalled those are the ones the hackers work on. Cause most people just stick with it. Run spybot after you download it, remove the threats. Just because you have threats doesnt mean you have viruses. Calm down and clean the thing. It will be OK I promise.

  9. Un install it boss.

    * bring up the start menu

    * click on my computer

    * go the control panel

    * then click add or remove programs

    * wait for the list to come up

    * find cursor mania

    * simply click remove

    * go on from there

    should be a piece of cake.

    if there are still threats going on, open up your spanking new anti-virus software and find out how to get rid of them.

    hope this helped.

  10. 1. Do not panic!!
