AI Meet and greets??

I'm going to the American Idol Tour concert...is there any way to get meet and greet/backstage passes? I heard that if you ask one of the idols, they'll give it to you. Is this true? Thanks

You don't have to get passes, you can just wait by the gates after the show near the buses and hopefully you get to meet them. The idols come about an hour after the concert ends and then they have to leave at midnight.
