AIRPORT CUSTOMS - Import snake wine from Vietnam to Australia legal?

Question

I am in vietnam and am interested in importing or mailing a bottle of snake wine to australia. Snake wine is a preserved cobra in a sealed bottle of rice wine. (And you CAN drink it).

Unsure as to whether this snake is endangered or not, howvever the question is...

is it ILLEGAL or LEGAL to bring into Australia?

Check with the AU embassy in Ha Noi. They should know, as you are not the first person who wanted to bring snake wine back.
