And people do not tell me Minnesota has no chance because they did poorly against the Mariners...every good team has a bad team that damages them like this year how the Indians have damaged Tampa Bay even the White Sox have only one team that hurts them and that's the Blue Jays even thought they've played 4 times..the best example I can give was in 2005 when the White Sox took it all they did really poorly against the Royals, anyway on to the question Soon the White Sox will be playing against Boston with Chicago having the home field advantage and Minnesota is taking this day off and than going to KC to face the Royals who the Twins are 7-2 against them I uhhh thought to throw that in here...While the White Sox and Red Sox have never faced each other this year. By next wook how will the AL Central standings look?

  1. Man i dont know. it's gonna be close. MINN is gonna take a slight lead unless the Sox take a split at least with the RedSox

  2. White Sox will win without a doubt.

  3. The White Sox are bad against the Blue Jays, because the Jays play in a Dome.  The White Sox are bad at the Twins because your guys play in a dome.

My Dream is by next week the White Sox have knocked the Red Sox out of the Wild Card and the White Sox and Twins both go to the playoffs.  To be honest, I know the Red Sox ain't that good this year, but I do not know how the White Sox will play them.  The White Sox have been rather inconsistent as of late.

If the White Sox and Twins play to their potential, then both should be in the playoffs.  But the Twins need to seriously start doing better on the road.  The Twins Bull Pen ERA home to road difference is insane, #1 at home and #30 away.

Both the White Sox and Twins are inconsistent.

Anyways, my prediction for next week Monday is: White Sox 4 -1, Twins 3-1.  White Sox Pick up a half game/Twins lose a half game in the standings , Red Sox lose a game in the standings, and the Tigers, in the words of Hawk Harrelson, "He Gone!"

  4. I agree with you on teams having a bad series or week, and remember they can always go on another run, by next week the standings will probably about the same (unless Ozzie gets upset about his GM saying he needs to quit mouthing off) with the teams up at the most 2.5 games, but I think the Twins are going to win the Central they have in my opinion three real tough series left in the Yankees, Angels and Rays (the Angels and Rays being away series) where as the White Sox have 5 real tough series left in the Yankees (four game), Red Sox (twice), Tampa, and one against the Twins in Minnesota (next to last series of the season).  I think Chicago will fold down the stretch and probably get passed by the Tigers as the Twins go on to win the division.

  5. See I'm a Twins fan and I've been watching the games against the Mariners and they haven't been bad at all until the end of the game.  I mean they were up 6 to nothing the first game and up by like 3 in the other game they just lost it at the end.  Also, every game that we play against the White Sox that I see is that we win so I don't know I think that the Twins are going to PuLL AHEAD and its going to be a tight race till the end but the Twins are very good this season if your watching there games.  With Joe Mauer and Justin and Span wow did you see his game last night wow he did amazing and with all his great catches from the foul line into the benches hes caught them all and to the home run rail he keeps catching them so I don't know the Twins have been doing great every player so its going to be close.

    Go TWINS!

  6. White Sox

  7. Simple answer to your quest to find the division winner:

Minnesota is 24 - 30 on the road. They are great at home. Later this month, the twins will play 24 of 30 games on the road. This is where the White Sox expand their lead and pretty much win the division.

The White Sox are 7-2 at home against the Twins, including a 4 game sweep in June. Look for the Twins to fade later this month.

  8. In 2005, the White Sox were 13-5 vs. the Royals.  They were 2-7 vs. Oakland, perhaps that's who you're thinking of....of course the White Sox always have problems on the west coast for some reason...

By next week, the division will be within 1 game either way.  This will be a dogfight to the end.

  9. The White Sox will win the division by at least 4 games.

  10. the white sox will win the AL central by default. they would look awfully average if they played in any other division.

  11. the twins have been lingering 1/2-2 games back for awhile now, i still think the white sox r gonna hold on and win it.

  12. I want the White Sox to beat the Red Sox because I am a Yankees fan but the Al Central will be a race the rest of the season with Minn & Chicago fighting it out

  13. twins

  14. The White Sox will probably win the divison not by much.
