As a yankee fan each day that goes by our chance to win the division keeps sinking.now i am not giving up on the yankees but i actualy sat down and watched a few tampa bay games this week and let me tell you they are the real deal. And If Joba Is out for any extended period of time i dont think we can catch them. But i dont think boston is deep enough with the manny trade to win the wild card and i think the yankees will win the wild card

So My Question is wen the season is over what wil the order of the AL East Be

And who will win the wild card

and also comment on my thought's

and also star**

  1. I totally agree with you but the order I see it happening is:

    1. Massholes

    2. Yanks

    3. Rays will fall apart

    4. Jays

    5. O's

And I'm a Yankee fan but the Massholes will be back.  And so will we.

    Good luck and God bless.

  2. 1.Boston

    2.New York-Wild Card

3.Tampa Bay (they can't win on the road and have alot of games the rest of this season on the road).

    4.Toronto

    5.Baltimore

  3. i agree the rays are the real deal

it will probably finish in this order:

    1.Tampa Bay

    2.New York-wc

    3.Boston

    4.Toronto

    5.Baltimore

  4. The Sox normally slump some at the end of the season and the Yanks come on strong.  The Rays are 11-6 since the ASG.  I see almost every game and I don't see any signs of them falling apart like so many are predicting.  Sunday's game vs. the Tigers is a good example of how they scrape out wins.  Up by 2 going into the 7th, they give up a run in each of the next 3 innings, trailing by 1 going into the bottom of the 9th.  They tie the game.  Then they give up a run in the top of the 10th and come back and score 2 in the bottom to win.  They fight to the end of every game and don't seem intimidated by anyone.  I think BECAUSE they are so young, the pressure won't get to them.

    Rays win division

ChiSox win WC (Twins win central)

Neither the Yanks or Red Sox make the play-offs

EDIT:  Buck-- look at the standings.  Road records:

                               Rays    23-28

                               Red Sox  24-33

                               NYY    25-25

                               Minn   23-29

                               ChiSox  26-33

Rays have a better road record than all of the above except the NYY

  5. 1. Red Sox  95-67

    2. Rays       94-68 wild card

    3. Yanks     93-69

unfortuantely and i am a yankee fan

  6. Red Sox

    Rays

    Yankees

    Orioles

    Blue Jays

  7. 1. Redsox

    2. Yankees

    3. Rays

  8. Well this is hard, I am thinking that the Red Sox and Yankees will have a play-off at the end of the season for the wild card.

    1st Rays

    2nd Red Sox

    2nd Yankees

    4th Orioles

    5th Blue Jays

The only thing I am worried about with the Yankees is there pitching depth, there offense and defense is fine, the only way they'll win the division is if they get Freddy Garcia from free agency when his shoulder gets better in a week or 2.

  9. boston

    new york

    tampa      (they will drop)

    toronto

    baltomere

and the wild card winner will be minnsota (chigo will win divison)

  10. 1. Red Sox

    2. Rays - Wild Card

    3. Yankees

    4. Orioles

    5. Blue Jays

I noticed the Rays last year. I answered a previous poll about how the AL East would do, and I said the Rays would finish 2nd. SO many people laughed at me and said the Rays would suck, but I know they are legit and have a good shot. Boston has a great hitter in Bay, and a way better outfield too. Manny didn't give them the defense they needed, and now, Bay, with his defense and his above-average bat, The Red Sox are poised for another ALCS or WS. I just don't think the Yanks can cut it with Joba out and the situation they are in.

  11. the sox's will win the division and the rayz will win the wild card

  12. I thought that after the all-star break the Rays would finally start to slip. That certainly has not happened yet. But I think that by September the inexperience of their young team will catch up to them and they will start to slip. Despite the Manny trade, the Sox are still a very good team. Bay has proven to be a good replacement. As for the Yankees, like all season long, the pitching is questionable but they still have a lot of talent on the team. And late in the season is when they tend to play their best. This is going to be a close race but when all is said and done, I see it looking like this:

    Red Sox

    Yankees - Wild Card

    Rays

  13. I'm with ya.  I'm hoping the Rays will run out of steam.  What's interesting about this years Yankees squad is the pitching this year is actually GOOD!  Our great (on paper) offense is having a tough time scoring runs.  This same lineup last year led the majors in runs scored and is currently sitting somewhere around 12th.  I will agree with you that the Red Sox will slip back more than the Rays will.  I think the Rays will win the division with the Yankees runners up.  As for the wild card...don't forget the Twins!  They're not going anywhere soon.

    AL East:

    Rays

    Yanks

    Sox

    Jays

    O's

    Wildcard:

    Yanks

  14. 1 - Red Sox

    2 - Rays

    3 - Yankees

    4 - Blue Jays

    5 - Orioles

I think the Rays have a pretty easy schedule for the time being but I still am not convinced by them so I think the Sox will make a charge and win the division and the Rays will hold on to the Wild Card...the Yankees and Blue Jays will be right behind them in the mix and then the poor O's will wind up pretty far back in last.

  15. 1. Rays

    2. Sox

    3. Yanks

    4. Jays

    5. O's

  16. 1 Rays they wont make it past the divisional playoffs because they are all young players and the pressure will build.

2 Yankees they will make a very clutch run at the end of the season like last year but they will make it.

3 Red Sox they pretty much gave up the wild card wen they got rid of manny.

4 Jays the jays and the o's are out of the division or the wildcard race because they just didn't start off right.

    5 O's

  17. AL EAST

    1) Tampa Bay

    2) Boston

    3) Yankees

    4) Toronto

    5) Baltimore

    WILD CARD

    1) Boston

    2) Chicago

    3) New York

  18. I still think that they Rays are going to fall apart as the season ends. I know it isn't looking like it is going to happen, but it will. I think that the tested and well known Boston team will win the division. I think the Yankees might get the wild card, but probably not. I would put my money on Tampa to win the wild card, about three games back of Boston. The Yankees should be about five or six games behind Boston.
