  1. im an m's fan too

    AL MVP: Josh Hamilton

    AL CY YOUNG: Cliff Lee

    NL MVP: Chase Utley

NL CY YOUNG: CC Sabathia or Brandon Webb

  2. I agree with all of your choices except for NL MVP.

    I think it will be Ryan Braun (31, 86, .301) over Wright (23, 95, .292).

A lot will depending on what happens the next month.  There are a lot of others with a shot as well (Pujols, Ludwick, Chipper, Berkman, Utley, etc)

  3. I like...

Hamilton (thell pick him bcuz hes a druggie)

Cliff Lee (bcuz other wise thell get push of a Cliff)

Utley (bcuz its the Wright way to go)

Webb (bcuz otherwise the will be in a Webb)

Cubs (yeah i think were winning 100 games too :))

  4. In the American League:

Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis could split votes making it possible for Carlos Quentin or Josh Hamilton to win the MVP.  I am going to say Carlos Quentin right now, but dont be surprised if Hamilton is the eventual MVP.  For CY Young, it would be hard to vote against Cliff Lee.  Leading the league in wins and ERA usually is a lock.  But, he is on a losing team and sometimes that opens the door for others like Roy Halladay or Mike Mussina to earn enough votes to win.  Right now though, my gut feeling is that Cliff Lee will win it.

    National League:

I believe that the MVP should be Ryan Braun.  Ryan Ludwick and Albert Pujols will split votes in St. Louis much like the two Redsox players will in Boston, and Chicago just doesnt have anyone that is stepping up.  If the Mets make the playoffs David Wright could garner enough votes for MVP because his numbers are similar, but for now I will go with Ryan Braun.  As for the CY Young award winner;  Brandon Webb should win.  TIm Lincecum is having a great year, but for a losing team.  His numbers aren't impressive enough to earn a CY Young on a losing team as Steve Carlton's were in 1972, (27-10, 1.92, 310 K's) on a Philadelphia Phillies team that only won 54 games!  So, for these reasons, Brandon Webb (18-4, 2.85) will win the CY Young.

My favorite team is the New York Yankees and the Colorado Rockies.  Hard to decide between the two teams.

  5. AL MVP: josh hamilton

    NL MVP: david Writght

AL Cy Young: Cliff lee or ( Daisuke Matsuzaka )

    NL Cy Young: Brandon Webb

  6. NL MVP: Ryan Braun (Over Ryan Ludwick)

NL Cy Young: Brandon Webb (Over CC Sabathia)

AL MVP: Josh Hamilton (Over Quentin or Kinsler, can't decide)

AL Cy Young: Cliff Lee (Over K-Rod)

Don't worry, your Mariners will do fine soon!

  7. As (sadly) a Reds fan, i would love to see Volquez get the Cy Young award for the NL, but i think it'll be Linecum. I agree w/ you on Lee for the AL.

As for the MVP's, i say Utley for the NL, but anyone other than Chipper Jones would be fine w/ me. For the AL: Gotta go w/ the former Red, Hamilton! (:

  8. AL:

MVP: Quentin (Sox are a Playoff team, Hamilton's Rangers are not)

Cy Young: Cliff Lee (over Dice-K)

    NL:

MVP: David Wright (If the Mets take the Division)

Cy Young: Brandon Webb (Linecum doesn't have enough wins)

  9. AL MVP

    Kevin Youkilis over Hamilton

    AL Cy Young

    Daisuke Matsuzaka

    NL MVP

    Chipper Jones over Utley

    NL Cy Young

    Brandon Webb

Seattle has the talent, give them time. Keep the faith. Been there, done that. Red Sox fan.

  10. Al MVP-Josh Hamilton

    NL-MVP-Ryan Braun

    AL Cy Young-Cliff Lee

    NL Cy Young- CC Sabathia

  11. Josh hamilton

    Cliff lee

    David Wright

    Tim Lincecum

    RED SOX FAN

  12. AL MVP: I gotta give it to Hamilton. He's got a big RBI lead over Quentin.

    NL MVP: Ryan Braun

AL Cy Young: Cliff Lee (barely edging Dice-K)

NL Cy Young: Either Webb or (if he gets enough innings/wins in) Sabathia.

Favorite Team: The GREAT New York Yankees

  13. Josh Hamilton

    David Wright

    Cliff Lee

    Brandon Webb

I am an Indians fan and I am just so thrilled about Cliff Lee. Nothing is ever made in America anymore so this is another reason to vote for Lee over Dice K.....lol. I hope Lee makes 20 wins because he will be the first Indians pitcher to reach 20 since Gaylord Perry in 1974. We got a real cliffhanger going on here!

  14. In the AL for MVP, and despite their recent slide, yet typical yo-yo style of play, I think the favorite is The Rangers Hamilton. With Morneau and Quentin, no doubt to follow. Quentin has been sort of a surprise all season and even though some aches and pains, has still produced and leading with 34 HR's, while keeping the team atop the division ( with some help form Dye).  Morneau has been consistent as always and leading his team to tie with White Sox. He often goes unnoticed, surprisingly.

With the Cy Young, the favorite and probable winner has to be Lee. Not only a surprise in a sense, but so consistent, especially earning W's on a struggling offensive team. Mussina with his awesome year has kept Yanks in run for WC, and a close second. Also have to give a bit of thought, though hihgly unlikely, to Halladay. Despite his bunches of losses, that is due to Blue Jays lack of run support earlier in the season, but has pitched consistently all season and leads top 3 in ERA,  & Strikeouts. K-Rod has shown inconsistencies since the break and has blown a few whel giving up some runs on his way to breaking the saves record and hs chances have steadily slipped. Saunders and Santana are darkhorses.

IN The NL, MVP has been thus far 2 traded players from the AL. Ramirez and Sabathia. Ramirez has sparked the Dodger offense, and Sabathia adds to a good pitching staff with Brewers. Of course both cant and wont get it. Therefore, I think Howard, Wright, and Ludwick are top 3 favs. If not for season ending injury Carlos Lee was right there .  With Cy Young, hands down,a nd with no competition really, it goes to Webb.   Just a 2.85 ERA, and a mere 1.11 WHIF, along with just 9 HR given up and just 42 BB, with 3 CG, gives him the clear edge over anyone.  Lincecum has had a very good year thus far,a nd somehow managed 13 W's with that sad offense. Not good enough though.

  15. al cy young either cliff lee or mike mussina nl cy young brandon webb or maybe another guy if they can win some more al mvp josh hamilton nl mvp ryan braun
