Question

Did you know that taking any kind of fertility drugs can cause a false positive? It's true. I read the fine print on the clear blue digital and a couple of the dollar store test and it says that. I know this because I had a false positive last month. Yes, I was really upset. Been ttc for over a year now and that was my first positive. Just thought I would let everyone know. I don't want you to go through what I did when I found out I wasn't pregnant. Good luck to you all.

Only if it puts that specific hormone into your body.  I don't know what is in clomid but unless it has that specific hormone it won't show a positive.

FACT: It is estimated (conservatively) that over 50% of fertilized eggs don't cause a full term pregnancy.  Testing earlier picks up these early miscarriages.  That is why some doctors won't see a patient until they have missed two periods.  By that time it is more sure that the egg is there to stay.
