that's what the SFD advisor on the phone told me. however i obtained info from the direct.gov website stating that there IS help available for people like me through tuition fee grants, due to my household income being low.

  1. I did not start college until I was 25 years old in 1980. I had my own apartment and I was on my own. I had to work a full time job at night while going to school 6 hours during the day.  I made about $6.50 per hour and was told straight out I did not qualify for any government help because there was no help for a white male college student. You see there were no rules on political correctness then. They just told you straight out. I had to take out a 7% educational loan to pay for college.

Then when I started college, in my first class, over half of the student were black and one white female. All were on government grants that did not have to be paid back and the majority were still living at home with their parents. The rest of the class was made up males. 6 white males and the rest Asian and other races. 2 other white males had to pay for their college like me. The rest of the class was on some type a assistance paying a big share of it..

    You tell me what's fair.
