ALT codes for spanish accent letters

how can i do the spanish accent letters like the letter N with the line at the top and stuff with the ALT codes? i have an HP pavillion tx 2000. i have tried some codes but they don't seem to work. i will really appreciate the help thanks.

Go into control panel and you can change the regional options, then you can switch between a Spanish and English keyboard
