AMAZING smell-10 pts?

My dad came home from Ecuador yesterday and he got me many native pieces of clothing. The smell on the clothing is incredible. the smell is also on all of my dads things including cameras etc. seriously it is an amazing exotic smell and I was wondering if there was anyway to preserve the smell so i could keep it forever?

I'm guessing it's that deep musky kind of scent that can only be found in tropical climates. I get that scent once in a while in the deep woods in Florida. Believe it or not, it's mainly from the thick layers of dead vegetation slowly rotting in the ground, along with high heat and high humidity. Nature just decided to toss that scent into the package. Makes you wanna' move there, huh?

Hmmm, if you can ask your dad in which part of Ecuador he got the pieces of clothing, you could figure out what was around the area and find out what causes the smell. If it was an exotic smell, perhaps it was a specific and bountiful herb from the region that smells that way so if you're lucky, you get yourself one of those herbs.
