AMEX charges?

Question

If I open a costco AMEX card, I heard that they have annual fees and such.

But , if I am able to pay back the full amount on my credit card every month while getting gas (it says it has a 3% rebate every year) will I build my credit and will I have an annual fee that I must pay no matter what?

An annual fee is an annual fee, no matter if you pay on time or not.  Though, not paying on time gives you OTHER fees as well.

Build your credit with a card that does NOT have an annual fee.  There are better cards out there.

Why p**s away your rebate returns on an annual fee?
