AMP for 4ohms 1000-1300 RMS?

I need an amp to power 2 P-TEKNIQUE ICBM5912 12", 650RMS at 4ohms. (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-P-TEKNIQUE-ICBM5912-COMPETITION-12-2000W-SUBWOOFER_W0QQitemZ110258638974QQihZ001QQcategoryZ18803QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Any ideas on what amps are available to power this? And possibly the cheapest prices (i no its still gonna be quite expensive). Any help with a good setup is also appreciated, such as monoblock with bridged subs or a 2 channel amp powering each sub per channel.

Also, is it possible to rewire these amps to 2 ohms to power them to an amp that'd probably be cheaper? And will quality matter too much with these subs?

Thanks heaps

  1. are they DVC or SVC

its almost impossible to match an amp to those subs correctly because their power handling specs are based on their (brand) amps power producing

all of their products are very over rated, with their amps you are lucky if you get a third of the advertised RMS wattage and with their subs- if you gave them their rated RMS wattage you would blow them quickly

that's why you should stick to CEA-compliant brands (they are easy to match because their numbers don't lie) the amps produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion and their subs can handle the advertised RMS wattage also

    here are the CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine (highly recommend)

    Bazooka (don't like their subs)

    Blaupunkt (don't like their subs)

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity (highly recommend)

    JBL

JL Audio (very good but over priced)

    Kenwood (don't like their subs)

Kicker (the best in my opinion)

    MTX (highly recommend)

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio (highly recommend)

    Rockford Fosgate (highly recommend)

    Sony (don't like their subs)
